Due in part to geographical proximity (Mineral County is approximately 55 miles from Missoula County) and judicial demographics (we are both in the fourth judicial district, and Mineral County's limited population base), the Missoula County Youth Court also supervises the activities of the Mineral County Office of Juvenile Probation.

Mineral County Probation is staffed by Juvenile Probation Officer  Jim Meyers and County Attorney Shaun Donovan. Public Defenders in juvenile cases appear on a rotating basis.

District Court Judges travel from Missoula once weekly to hold court in Mineral county.
